In November 2019, a friend introduced me to the world of tango, sparking a newfound interest. However, I encountered a small hiccup – the need for suitable tango attire to practice and attend milongas. In my view, every activity deserves the appropriate outfit. So, I start making tango clothes just for myself and people start asking if I can make outfit for them as well. Little did I know that the turn of events in early 2020 would alter my perspective.
As the world grappled with unprecedented circumstances, we found ourselves confined to our homes with an abundance of time. Seizing this unique opportunity, I made a decision: to delve into the art of pattern-making and sewing. And so, this marks the beginning of my journey into the world of creating my own tango clothing.
Determining our sewing service charges involves a thoughtful consideration of the time invested in each project. Utilizing top-quality equipment, such as the renowned Juki sewing machines, ensures optimal results and minimizes potential fabric damage, sparing us additional repair costs.
While exceptions can be made for someone we love or special circumstances, it’s crucial to acknowledge that even though sewing is a hobby, we charge for our services the same way you charge for yours when you do your day-to-day job.
Striking the right balance in pricing is essential — avoiding overcharging for routine tasks and ensuring we value our expertise appropriately for more intricate projects.
